A positive and constructive meeting took place between the Curling Federation of India
During the meeting, the official invitation for the 4th National Floor Curling event was formally handed over.
The Curling Federation of India remains committed to working closely with World Curling to support the global development of the sport.
During the meetings, the Indian delegation engaged in constructive and forward-looking discussions with senior representatives of the World Curling Federation, including President Mr. Beau Welling, General Secretary Mr. Colin Grahamslaw, and Rock Solid Productions CEO Mr. Chad McMullan. The conversations centered on identifying both immediate and long-term strategies to promote and develop curling in India. A strong mutual understanding was reached to collaborate closely and exclusively with the Curling Federation of India.
The discussions also covered the promotion of both ice and floor curling across all formats, along with the systematic development of leagues and competitions at the district, school, state, national, and international levels. This approach aims to build a strong and structured foundation for the long-term growth of the sport in India.
Mr. Mohd Danish (IND) actively participated in the deliberations, contributing valuable insights toward the growth and grassroots development of the sport. The meeting focused on enhancing participation, building competitive frameworks, and aligning with global standards to ensure sustainable progress. Overall, the engagement marked an important step toward integrating India more closely with the international curling community and expanding opportunities for athletes across the country.
